As some of you guys know, last weekend i was at a festival djing there
Project revive was a great event, lot of people came to support it and it was fun, the atmosphere was good, the beach was nice, the SOUND was loud =). and lets not forget about the laser show from revival productions, great show guys!!. This was my first time playing at a festival, it was tiering, they only had 2 djs, so we had to take shifts, never the less it was still good.
Im going to make this short, because there are other things that is needed to be done. Overall it was a great event and i hope Revival Productions will organize more events like this.

Its here, its bigger, its meaner, and its sexier (yummy)
its everything that i wanted and even more.
I just got the Numark V7 1 day ago, and been playing with it for a couple of hours or so, i come from a pioneer dj background and things are a little bit different, but i got the hand of it after awhile. The reason for me buying this is because i wanted to get the vinyl feel and at the same time go digital, burning cds is a pain in the ass. At first, i wanted to get the ns7, but the ns7 was to big and i was not feeling the mixer. But now, the v7 came out, its the best creation by numark so far, you are able to use it with any mixer and 1 controller is able to play 2 decks !!!.
Other than that, it has a lot of things that pioneer dj equipment dont have, the only pioneer dj equipment that is able to top the v7 would be the CDJ-2000, but the CDJ-2000 would seriously put a hole in your pocket. The v7 has built in effects (some effects that is not found on the DJM series, this is a great plus for me, because im a effect freak), 5 hot cues, looping functions, the vinyl feel jog wheel, and its very sturdy, i heard its made from some type of metal. much better than your average cdj. The great thing about this, if u spin in a club, you would just have to bring 1 controller and you are all ready to rock the house. So far, i think there is no cons to the numark v7, maybe because i just started using it, lets see...but i doubt anything will happen to it. Numark has gone a long way and now coming out with some industry standard equipment. GOOD JOB NUMARK !!! KEEP IT UP !!!!.
The reason why im comparing Numark with Pioneer is because, in my country Malaysia, almost all the pro djs use pioneer equipment and some of them are so stereotypical about this topic, "Pioneer is the best, you are only a dj is u use pioneer, djs that use MIDI cant dj, almost all clubs use pioneer etc etc etc". But when we go overseas, we see Denon, Numark, American Audio, allen&heat, there are a lot of other brands that are as good as pioneer, even i use to have a pair of CDJ-400 and im still using the DJM-700, both are great. I do agree that pionner dj equipment are good, but that doesn't mean pioneer is the only brand that we should use, everybody has their own taste. It depends on the individual, you cant force somebody to do a certain thing if they dont like it.
About MIDI, i personally think its the choice of the dj, some people dont have money to buy expensive dj gear but they really want to become a dj. Some people got to understand, its all about the music. People care about the music, not what gear the dj is rocking on. This is just my 2 cents.
Lastly, technology is moving forward, why stay in the pass when you can go to the future??
RATING FOR THE NUMARK V7 : 8/10
For anybody that plans on getting this, GET IT, you wont regret =)

Why did i post this update on my blog??
this is because, im going to dj at this event and this event is worth the cause, there are also going to be a lot of other acts and live music, many talented people will be showing of their skills. Im really hyped up for this event and ill be launching my own single on that day. hope it goes good =). I would say that this event is like the rain forest festival of main land Malaysia. It might be at a small scale this year, because it only started this year, give it time, it will keep on growing every year. The main organizer of this event is Revival Productions.
Revival Productions is Malaysia's premier event support and laser lightshow company. They have over 25 years of planning and executing events with more than 1500 events under over belt. Their experience allows them to foresee and track event technology, professionals, talents, ideas and upcoming trends. Assembling the right team of professionals and experts in the various fields of events and entertainment for any given project is our forte. They also have one of the best lasers shows in Malaysia, they did the rave lasers for the F1 Speedzone Tour, Some fantastic stuff over there. Lets hope that they do a laser show in Project Revive =). PRAY !!!
I predict that this event will be off the hook, the place, the people, the acts, everything will be great =)

this competition has 3 stages, 1st stage is the State Heats, after that State Final. Lastly it would be the Malaysian Final.
I got into the State Finals, and im happy about that, at least i got to the state final =). I think im the youngest dj there, i think
I gained a lot of experience and met some friendly djs, like dj Jeevan, Dj Too-tite, and DJ Nobita. Dj Nobita is that champion for the state final btw.
